I broke the NES Ice Climber world record

You may have noticed a lack of activity on this site lately. Well, things have been busy. I've been in training, and it's finally paid off. Twin Galaxies has verified my Ice Climber high score. Go see for yourself. Sadly, I don't have the video of the record breaking game. I sent in a vhs copy to be verified without making a copy for myself, but anyway, I'm the best Ice Climber player in the world, I'm just saying.

Congrates Sir WIlliam. You kicked that other dude's ass. I bet he's really pissed seeing he's all about the high scores on there having 7 pages of them...Woot Woot. Glad to see you finally beat it so now you can start updating this page, I've missed it! *winks*

Any tips or tricks you used to pull that off (like a different starting mountain or something)? I would love to see that video! awesome

I don't think I have any fancy tricks of note. I start on mountain 1, although I think that starting on a higher mountain might give you an edge, and it is allowed. Maybe someday I'll make another attempt and keep a copy of the tape, although I seriously doubt there's a big audience for an hour's worth of me playing Ice Climber.
