Did you post that Acronym comment? Too bad you couldn't answer my question. But anyhoo, last time I checked, an ancronym looked like this M.A.C, and MAC was just capitalizing.
Maybe I'm wrong here?!

Also, if Ian really used periods for acronyms, he probably would have used P.C. instead of PC too (despite the fact that PC is an initialism, not an acronym).
